Permanent makeup is not appropriate for everyone. The consultation is used to determine whether treatment can be performed safely and whether medical clearance or postponement may be appropriate.

• Pregnancy or breastfeeding (service may be postponed according to studio policy and applicable guidance).
• Active infection, open wound, rash, irritation, sunburn, or active skin condition in the treatment area.
• Active cold sore or herpes outbreak for lip blush.
• Recent cosmetic procedures, injections, peels, laser treatments, or other treatments that have not fully healed in or near the treatment area.
• Use of medications or medical conditions that may affect bleeding, healing, immunity, or skin integrity. Some situations may require medical clearance.
• History of significant allergic reactions or sensitivities relevant to pigments, topical products, adhesives, latex, or procedure materials.
• History of abnormal scarring or keloid formation should be discussed before scheduling.
• Previous permanent makeup in the treatment area must be evaluated before a new procedure is scheduled.

• Follow the personalized instructions provided during your consultation.
• Arrive with the treatment area healthy and free of active irritation, infection, wounds, or sunburn.
• Avoid unnecessary irritation to the treatment area immediately before the appointment, including aggressive exfoliation or treatments not approved during your consultation.
• Discuss recent cosmetic treatments, injectables, peels, laser procedures, prescription medications, and products that may affect the skin or healing before your appointment.
• Do not discontinue prescribed medication unless instructed by the prescribing healthcare professional.
• For lip blush, clients with a history of cold sores should discuss this during the consultation and speak with their healthcare provider about whether antiviral medication is appropriate.

• Follow the written aftercare instructions provided at your appointment.
• Keep the treated area clean and avoid picking, scratching, peeling, or removing flaking skin.
• Use only the recommended aftercare products and apply them as instructed.
• Avoid unnecessary touching of the treated area while it heals.
• Protect the healing area from excessive moisture, sweating, swimming, steam, and direct sun exposure for the period specified in your aftercare instructions.
• Avoid makeup, skincare actives, exfoliants, or other products directly on the healing area until permitted.
• Expect the color to appear stronger immediately after treatment and then soften as the skin heals. Unevenness or fading during the healing stages can be normal.
